Present for Yourself: Yoga & Meditation for the Holiday Season
The holidays are often a stressful time. Even as we move into the darker, colder months of winter, we are busy with festivities and expectations of good cheer. Yet with the right support, winter can be a wonderful time to both turn inwards and also open to the possible joys of the season – each in our own unique way.
Yoga offers many tools to help navigate this fraught time. It can bring calm amidst the bustle, steady energy when we feel depleted, and self-compassion in all circumstances. In this seven-week workshop, we will study movement, breathing, meditation, yoga nidra, chanting and yoga philosophy to support our journey through the season. Micropractices are included to cultivate mindfulness “off the mat” during the more challenging times as they arise. The yoga nidra practices will be recorded and available through Dropbox. Our sessions are geared toward the needs of the participants, so all are welcome – experienced students and beginners alike.
Please join us as we use the ancient practice of yoga to move mindfully through the holidays and welcome the Light of the season.
