Whether you have difficulties falling asleep at bedtime, find yourself awake in the middle of the night, or wake up to early and can’t fall back asleep – this class is for you!
Over the course of this series we explore various yoga tools to help support better sleep. We talk about the concept of “sleep hygiene” and how yoga fits in. Each class includes gentle bedtime yoga and breathing that can help with deeper rest.
iRest® Yoga Nidra is a primary tool we will explore. A form of guided mindfulness meditation, it is a systematic process for progressively leading the body and mind into deep relaxation. It has been widely used to help with sleep, and can be adapted to each person’s unique sleep challenges. In fact, the word ‘nidra’ is often translated as ‘deep sleep’.
Written materials and guided recordings are provided to support home practice. The recorded practices are available through Dropbox. Please join us!
